Building Real Partnerships in Floral Education

We've spent the last three years working alongside florists, venues, and creative studios across the UK. What started as informal collaborations has grown into something more structured — partnerships that actually help both sides.

Most partnership programmes feel one-sided. Ours developed because venues needed trained staff who understood seasonal flowers, and our students needed realistic work experience. It turned out everyone benefited when we stopped treating partnerships as sponsorship deals and started building genuine working relationships.

We work with about fifteen partner organisations now. Some host our workshops, others provide mentorship to graduates, and a few collaborate on seasonal projects that give students exposure to real client briefs.

What Partnership Actually Looks Like

We're not interested in logo exchanges. Our partnerships centre around practical collaboration that helps students develop skills in realistic settings while giving partner organisations access to emerging talent.

Several London venues host our advanced workshops throughout the year. Students work on actual event briefs — not made-up scenarios. A few months ago, one group prepared centrepieces for a spring wedding at a partner venue. The couple was happy, students gained portfolio work, and the venue saved on floristry costs.

That's how it works. Small projects that benefit everyone without creating unrealistic expectations.

  • Workshop hosting opportunities at your venue with our experienced instructors
  • Access to skilled graduates looking for placement opportunities or freelance work
  • Collaborative projects that showcase your space while giving students real experience
  • Seasonal consultations where advanced students assist with event floristry under supervision
  • Regular communication about upcoming talent and scheduling that fits your calendar

The Team Managing Partnerships

Two people coordinate all our partner relationships. They handle scheduling, match students with opportunities, and make sure everyone's getting value from the arrangement. Both have years of industry experience and understand what realistic collaboration looks like.

Evienne Pascault, Partnership Coordinator

Evienne Pascault

Partnership Coordinator

Evienne spent twelve years managing events before joining us in 2023. She handles venue partnerships and workshop scheduling, which makes sense given her background coordinating events across London. She's practical about what works and what doesn't.

Saskia Thornwell, Student Placement Lead

Saskia Thornwell

Student Placement Lead

Saskia coordinates student placements and project collaborations. She worked as a freelance florist for eight years before taking this role, so she knows both sides — what students need to learn and what businesses actually require from assistants.
